DESCRIPTION:The musical "Guys and Dolls" will be presented by Abe Burrows in Collins Alumni Auditorium, November 5 - 8.Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, this oddball romanticcomedy — considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy — soarswith the spirit of Broadway as it introduces us to a cast of vividcharacters who have become legends in the canon. Sarah Brown is theupright but uptight "mission doll," out to reform the evildoers ofTimes Square. Sky Masterson is the slick, high-rolling gambler who woosher on a bet and ends up falling in love. Adelaide is the chronicallyill nightclub performer whose condition is brought on by the fact she'sbeen engaged to the same man for 14 years. And, Nathan Detroit, herdevoted fiance, is desperate as always to find a spot for his infamousfloating crap game.Ticket prices are $15.Student may attend for $5.There will be a special performance on Nov. 5 for students and deaf patrons. Nov. 6-8 are the dates for the general audience.This play is suitable for all ages.
